Smita Patel, MD

Dr. Smita Patel is a clinical instructor for the Sleep Disorders Center at Evanston Northwestern Healthcare. She received her neurological training at the Medical College of Wisconsin and fellowship training in Sleep Medicine at the University of Chicago. She is board certified in Neurology and Sleep Medicine.

Dr. Patel joined Evanston Northwestern Healthcare in July of 2006. She is a faculty member at Northwestern University. In addition to sleep disorders and general neurology, Dr. Patel has a special interest in integrative medicine which includes non-conventional approaches to management of sleep disorders, women's issues and obesity, to name a few. She sees patients at several Evanston Northwestern Healthcare locations, including Glenbrook Hospital, Evanston Hospital, and the Park Center near the Glen.
